AI & Decision Accountability

AI changes how decisions are prepared — not who is accountable for them.

My interest is in how leadership teams use the strengths of AI without falling into the costly trap of handing judgement and responsibility over to a tool.

What AI can do

  • structure and order
  • make perspectives visible
  • make assumptions verifiable
  • support completeness

What AI must not do

  • replace judgement
  • take over responsibility
  • make a leadership decision

CLARA Decision Governance

CLARA Decision Governance is my approach to making critical decisions more structured, more traceable and more connectable. In a Decision Review we go through an upcoming decision systematically: What is it really about? Which assumptions support it? Where are the trade-offs? What is checked, what is believed?

AI helps to establish structure and completeness — the assessment and the decision remain with the people who are accountable.

The boundary that remains

CLARA is not an automated decision system. It makes no decisions, it replaces neither judgement nor responsibility. It makes the path to a decision more visible — nothing more, and that is exactly the point.
